Privacy policy

Who we are

Cho-Ki-Chu is a learning app for children aged 2 to 15, operated by Mamta LLC. Questions about privacy: hello@chokichu.com.

Parents come first

A parent or guardian creates the account, confirms they are an adult, and decides what information the app may use for their child. We do not let a child create an account on their own.

What we collect

About the parent: email address, and the result of the parent check (verified, and when).

About each child: a nickname (not a full name), age, chosen buddy character, and learning progress such as stars earned.

Only if a parent turns them on:

What we do not collect

How consent works

Parents give separate choices for each purpose: learning and progress (required), voice, sharing, and improving the app. Each choice is recorded with the date. A parent can change any choice at any time in the grown-ups area of the app, and turning a choice off stops that use right away.

Sharing with others

We use service providers to run the app: Supabase (secure hosting and storage in the United States) and Stripe (the parent card check). They may only use information to provide their service to us. We do not sell information.

Keeping and deleting information

Parents can delete a child profile, or their whole account, inside the app (see how to delete your account). This permanently removes the profile, its privacy choices and its progress. We keep information only while your account is active. Payment records for the parent check are kept by Stripe under its own policy.

Parents' rights

A parent can review the information we hold about their child, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it, at any time. Email hello@chokichu.com.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects how children's information is used, we will ask parents again before we use it in the new way.
